We are looking for 3 individuals for our board. 

Board of Directors Responsibilities & Duties
• Mission and Strategy: The board of directors is responsible for setting the overall mission and strategy of the organization. This involves identifying the purpose of the organization and establishing goals and objectives to achieve that purpose.

• Governance and Oversight: The board of directors is responsible for providing overall governance and oversight of the organization. This includes establishing policies and procedures, ensuring legal and ethical compliance, and managing risk. 

• Financial Management: The board of directors is responsible for ensuring the financial sustainability of the organization. This involves developing and monitoring budgets, ensuring financial transparency, and establishing fundraising strategies. labor

• Leadership and Support: The board of directors is responsible for providing leadership and support to the organization's staff and volunteers. This includes hiring and evaluating the executive director, providing guidance and support to staff, and fostering a positive organizational culture.

• Accountability and Evaluation: The board of directors is responsible for ensuring accountability and evaluating the effectiveness of the organization. This involves monitoring progress toward goals, reviewing and analyzing financial reports, and making strategic decisions based on data and evidence.

A non-profit organization belongs to the people it serves.  The board represents the people, the donors, and the shareholders.
